Please see this letter from the Athletic Director.

Athletic registration will open for all sports on JULY 1, 2023.

Physicals must be dated on or after July 1, 2023.  Register on ArbiterSports (formerly FamilyID here.  Within 72 hours you will receive an email indicating that your student-athlete has either been approved or that corrections are required.  Students may not participate in athletics until they are approved through ArbiterSports.

Academic Eligibility – We expect our student-athletes to be students first and maintain exemplary character in the classroom by being in class on time everyday, modeling mature behavior and focusing on academics. If any student-athlete falls below a 2.0 he/she must see our Athletic Director for the possibility of being granted a one-time probation (only if GPA is between 1.50-1.99). If probation is granted, there will be weekly progress checks in order to maintain eligibility.

Transfer Eligibility – If your student has NOT attended Alameda High School for 12 months, he/she will need to see the Athletic Director for transfer paperwork. Transfer students are NOT allowed to participate in ANY game competition until cleared. Participation prior to clearance could result in forfeiture of games and ineligibility.

Western Alameda County Conference (WACC) sports schedules

All parent/guardians intending on driving student-athletes other than your own students will need to complete the following paperwork and follow the process below BEFORE YOU ARE CLEARED TO BE TEAM DRIVERS:

1. Request for Live Scan Service

2. Form E-5A - Transportation of Students in Privately Owned Vehicles

3. Volunteer Information/Agreement

1. Go to a finger printing business and pay for your fingerprints to be checked & cleared by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) & DOJ (Department of Justice). Bring this Request for Live Scan Service Form with you.

2. Submit the following to Ms. Stahl in the Alameda High School Administration Office on campus:

• Live Scan Service (or proof of scan)
• Transportation of Students in Privately Owned Vehicle form 
• Copy of your automobile insurance policy detailing policy coverages and expiration date 
• Volunteer Information/Agreement form with a copy of your driver’s license

3. Ms. Stahl will wait for our District Human Resources Department to notify her of fingerprint clearance (this can take anywhere from 3-4 days to 2 weeks to 2 months). When Barbara receives the clearance, she will then notify our Athletic Department that you are cleared to drive for our away contests, as well as field trips.

4. Upon receiving clearance, our Athletic Department will notify you that you are cleared to drive.

Instructions

1. Complete the PE Course Exemption Form entirely, leaving no blanks (includes student and parent’s/guardian’s signatures)
2. Submit the PE Course Exemption form to the Athletic Director to complete and sign. 
3. Submit the PE Course Exemption form to the Counseling Office, where someone will handle and monitor the remaining steps to process the PE Course Exemption.

FYI: The Counseling Office will make transcript changes ONLY after the following has been completed and documented.

• The Athletic Director completes, signs and dates the PE Course Exemption form
• The school's Principal completes, signs and dates the PE Course Exemption form  
• Educational Services staff (District Office) signs, dates, and returns the PE Course Exemption to the Counseling Office.

Once received, someone in the Counseling Office will input the change to your transcript.
